Waiving of Provincial Team Fees Policy

Issue
Waiving Provincial “A” Team athletes team fees at the end of the season based on stated goals and performance.

Discussion
Each year the NSYA supports applications for funding (Sport Fund) from athletes on the “A” team, yet the NSYA charges these individuals a team fee.

This policy is being implemented to reward Provincial Senior Sailing Team members who have met performance goals for that year. For the successful athletes, the membership fees will be waived for that year.
These year end reviews will be conducted by the Provincial Team Coach and the Racing Teams Board member. They will determine who is eligible for the fee exemption.

Policy
All Provincial “A” team sailors that have met their stated goals and showed a high level of commitment to the program will have their team fee waived for that year.
