Sadly our boats have been put to bed for the winter.  But, this doesn't have to signal the end of boating for the winter.  Why not join us one evening a week for an interesting, challenging and fun experience? Our Coastal Navigation course is the perfect way to enhance your skills and interact with fellow enthusiasts.  The course will teach you how to safely navigate in coastal and inland waters.  We have also added an electronic component to the curriculum in light of the fact that most people today rely heavily on their electronic equipment. This course will run Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00, January 11 to April 11 at the RNSYS Club House. There will be a two week break for March Break making for a total of 10 classes and an final test night. Cost for RNSYS members is $285 + hst and for non-members, $325 + hst.  Registration can be done through Marriann Creelman at 477-5653, ext. 100. Join Frank Denis - NSYA Executive Director, Dean Morley - Sport Nova Scotia Cape Breton Community Sport Development, Larry Maxwell - Cape Breton Regional Representative for Nova Scotia Health & Wellness, Craig Guthrie - Nova Scotia Provincial Sailing Coach for a day of discussing growing and supporting the sport of sailing in Cape Breton.The Cape Breton Sailing Summit will be held Saturday, April 14 from 9am - 4pm at Bras d'Or Yacht Club in Baddeck.
