Course runs over two consecutive weekends February 27-28, March 6-7
Nautical charts; Latitude, longitude; Buoys, lights, radio, and sounds; Navigation equipment, publications; Collision courses & danger bearings; Tides; Magnetic compass; Bearings & fixes; Proper log keeping; Course planning & plotting; Time, speed and distance calculations; current & leeway; Intro to GPS & chart plotters. Optional CYA Coastal Navigation Exam included.
