The RYA conducted a Yachtmaster Examiner course in Halifax on September 6 and 7.  It was conducted by Richard Falk, the RYA Training Manager and Chief Examiner.  The 5 candidates were all CYA cruising Instructors and RYA Yachtmaster Instructors.  All five were successful.  They were:  East Coast - Chris Connor and Dave DeWolfe; Central: Jamie Gordon; West Coast: Katy Roden and Oliver Woolcock.

There is now no need to bring in an examiner from the UK.

This is all part of a developing collaboration between the CYA and the RYA, and is good news for Canadian Sail Training.
