Twice a year Sport Nova Scotia accepts applications from Community Organizations for funding throug the Nova Scotia Amateur SportFund. Yacht Clubs and Sailing schools have been successful securing funding from this fund over the years.
The review committee bases its decisions considering a number of factors: how will the program increase capacity? Is it innovative? Will it lead to those from under-represented groups signing up for programs? Is the initiative sustainable? Is there support for the initiative from other community groups?

The deadline for Sport NS to receive the complete application is September 1, however NSYA must review and endorse all applications and therefore we must have them no later than Thursday, August 25.
